Effective date: April 1, 2026
HitZero, published on the App Store as "Hit Zero Cheer" ("we", "our", "the app"), is a competitive cheerleading score tracking application. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
1. Data We Collect
- Account information: email address and display name when you create an account or sign in with Apple.
- Team follows: which teams and programs you choose to follow.
- Search queries: terms you search for within the app (used to improve results, not shared with third parties).
- Device tokens: an Apple Push Notification service (APNs) token if you enable push notifications.
- Subscription status: whether you have an active paid subscription or free trial.
- User-submitted scores: if you submit scores for independent events, we store the score data and your user ID for attribution.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
- Individual athlete information: HitZero tracks teams only. We do not collect, store, or display data about individual athletes.
- Precise location data.

- Third-party analytics or advertising identifiers (no third-party analytics SDKs are used).
3. How We Use Your Data

- Improve search results and app functionality.
4. Third-Party Services

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on AWS servers in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Locally cached data on your device is stored using iOS system frameworks (SwiftData).

7. Children's Privacy
HitZero displays team-level competition results only. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not require users to be athletes or minors — it is designed for parents, coaches, and fans.

- You can unfollow teams to stop receiving updates.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us.
